Account and plan

Shelzo’s public beta is free until 1 Oct 2026. Your Shelzo account carries the trial and the plan; engine subscriptions and sign-ins stay separate.

Your guest trial

  1. On first launch Shelzo creates a guest account for this Mac and starts your free trial. No email, no payment details.
  2. Onboarding shows Your account: choose Continue as guest to start straight away, or sign in.
  3. Settings › Account shows the trial and when it ends. The Welcome page shows a countdown in the last days.

The trial belongs to the account on Shelzo’s servers, not to this Mac’s data folder. Deleting the app’s data or reinstalling does not start a second trial.

Sign in from the app

  1. Open Settings › Account and choose Sign in or Create account.
  2. Complete sign-in or registration in the browser opened by Shelzo, then approve the device on the page it shows.
  3. Return to Shelzo. The account, the plan and your devices appear in Settings › Account.

Starting from the app links the browser approval to that Mac’s waiting request. Signing in to the website alone does not sign the app in. When you sign in during a guest trial, the remaining trial moves to your account.

Devices

Settings › Account lists every device signed in to your account, with this Mac marked This Mac. Signing in on a Mac replaces that Mac’s previous session. Sign out ends the session on this Mac only.

After signing out, this Mac still belongs to your account, so Shelzo asks you to sign in again rather than starting a new guest trial.

Buying and billing

Buy Shelzo and Manage billing in Settings › Account open your account page in the browser, where checkout, invoices and cancellation live. Nothing is on sale during the public beta.

If access expires, existing chats remain available to read. Sign in with an entitled account, or renew on your account page, to start or continue sessions.

If it fails

If the browser approval expires, start sign-in again from the app. Shelzo checks your plan at launch and at most once a day; use Refresh in Settings › Account to check immediately. A stored plan keeps working for up to 14 days without a connection, after which Shelzo becomes read-only until it can check again. “Account service not configured” means the build carries no account URL — use a release build. Use Help › Send Feedback…, when available, for unresolved account problems.
